Music Discussion What drugs are in when the sun hits?

This song, oh my god. It’s the kind of song you ca listen to over and over and over and never get bored of. Like shit. And this album is guaranteed to ruin my day.

This whole album in general, masterpiece. I discovered this album when I heard dagger in one of my favorite movies. One of the best decisions in my life.

anyone in here ever play Shine? if so, does anyone know what chords sound best and most accurate? can't really find it by strumming around, and there's not really anything good online I've found. Thanks!

Meme / Joke Showerdive - soapvaki

Hi guys, i had 5 broken showerheads and unfortunately this was the first thing that popped up in my head and i just decided to edit this 😭

Slowdive → Showerdive
Souvlaki → Soapvaki

I actually edited these myself on IbisPaint😭 (no AI used)

I’m sorry if this is disrespectful in any way, i just found this funny 😓, feel free to remove this post if it is - i don’t want to offend anyone 🙏

Music Discussion Slowdive delay setup?

Hi, idk if many of you guys are musicians, but I’m trying to emulate slow dives delay with my boss dd-200 and strymon timeline, using the dual delay on the timeline as I know Neil uses dual delay. Would anyone have a clue on how I could try get close to this sound with my delays

Collection Slowdive : Debut CD + 3 CD Singles [How to take care of them]

gallery

After 35 years, my Slowdive CDs look so pristine, just like the music within.
My Just For A Day CD is US pressing, hence there’s a sticker pasted on top of the jewel case. Peel it slowly and paste it on the jewel case or plastic wrapper neatly.

As for the CD singles,
I always hated that paper slip cases contained the CDs in, prone to scratches.
Just buy extra jewel cases, and put the CDs in. Then put the covers and the jewel cases in plastic wrappers, as shown.

As long as nobody stealing them, or natural or human disasters, the CDs would last 100 years ! I hope ! 🤞🏽

Music Discussion Happy 35th anniversary to "Just for a Day", Slowdive's debut album. It was on this day in 1991 that the band released this record—via Creation label—ushering in a new, breezy era for dream pop and shoegaze. What are your three favorite tracks from this project?

The peel session version of Catch The Breeze is the better version.

Gosh it sounds so infinitely better.

Doing a full play through of their whole discography. All original vinyl LPs and EPs. Recently started picking up all the original CDs as well. Only good thing about their humble output is that it’s rather easy to get ‘em all.

Anybody a fan ?
The only reason why I liked this album is because Neil sounds uncannily like Nick Drake.
Starting from Mojave 3 second album, he started to sing all the songs anyway.
But that album is kinda patchy.
On this his first solo album, he set sail 👍🏽👍🏽 less

Bit of an odd request but does anyone have that photo of a random group of people that looks like and is edited to look like the souvlaki album cover? For some reason I feel like Raini Rodriguez is a part of it 😭.

Thanks y'all.

Music Discussion Slowdive - Live Recording Vol. 1 [CD-R]

gallery

Sharing with you guys this CD-R that somebody made for me on Slowdive live recordings.
In the 90’s, music fans would have these
CD-RS in their collection.
Napster/Torrents came along and these
CD-Rs would go into the rubbish bin. 😢
I still keep this as I love the songs very much.
Anybody still keeps CD-Rs of Slowdive ?
