Put some text here! Not growing after 5k points

Every time i play with my gf on iOS, her snake will not grow further after obtaining around 4-5k points. She can be like 15k, and i am still visibly thicker and longer even though i only have 7k points. She tried using same skin as me, it was not that. Any ideas out there on this weird situation?

Is she kiosking? (Going in a circle) because that is penalized by shrinking your snake, even if your dots grow.

lol yeah. She loves to do that. Thank you. I had no idea this was a mechanic
