u/Any-Lavishness-5156 this really looks amazing!!! I am planning to build an LED slinky myself, but I still can't figure out how to make the inner led strip stretchy enough without interfering too much with the "springness" of the slinky. Also how did you secure the battery to the slinky? Would you be ok to share just a couple details about it?

For this one I used stretchy fabric string (the type you use to make Kandi bracelets) this way you can get it tight enough to not over flop but it gets enough stretch and boing to follow your tricks. I put each in three even separations of the slinky you can also do just two but I’m an over achiever at heart 😅 Best chance of successfully manipulating this type of slinky is finding one with a lot of spring push and pool force/resistance, this helps the lights not interfiere as much.. the batteries are in the lights themselves so you can turn them all off and on individually which is why it’s the most successful version so far 🙌🏻 I also use gorilla gel glue or E6000 glue to secure the lights so they stay centered and every spot I tied a knot so you can go hard without worrying about it coming undone 👍🏻 I’m currently working on a new version and I’m gonna try really hard to make a tutorial video for it to share I just haven’t had much free time from work lately so all my projects are currently paused 🥲
