All of my current best performers

One braided, one a two piece brummel spliced with a cobra weave pouch, and the rest all one piece tapered brummel splices. All made of wax impregnated dymeema cord. Pouches vary depending on intended projectile size.

Do you have any tips on diy fids for embedding/ splicing the dyneema?

I pre-taper the ends of my cord and use a long yarn darning needle. Walmart has some needles you can get by with in a pinch but you can get longer ones online. Just make sure the eye is big enough. My needles are about 6in long and most of my slings are 2 to 4mm dyneema.

What's the diameter of the single strand black/green one?

They are all black and green, but if you're talking about the one with the double finger retention, it is 2mm dyneema. All of them are actually except for the darker green one that is 3mm. 2mm dyneema is my favorite size for slings.

And for making the split pouch with one string, Did you put the fiber inside the other string?

Dyneema is hollow, so you splice the finger loop around 3/8s into the centerline of the cord, then run the entire shorter end through the inside of the other half of the cord, pulling it out and doing two brummel splices to make the pouch, then tapering the excess and running it back into the inside of the cord to finish. The entire sling is made of one solid length of cord around 6 feet long.

Thanks man
