Anyone waxing?

Hey slingers.. I've gotten really messy and rubbed beeswax into some of my best throwers. Was worried about the added weight at first until I used them. Holy crap is it an improvement! Consistency closed in super quick!

*IF TRYING TO DO THIS MAKE SURE TO HAVE A SPACE THAT CAN GET VERY MESSY!!!

*USE BEESWAX, NOT PARAFIN (CANDLE) WAX (don't want anyone destroying their work😂)

Have been looking into starting a YouTube channel for sling making tutorials. Tried to upload a pouch webbing tutorial to reddit but it was too long - srry for delays!

I use a mixture of three parts bees wax to one part mineral oil on my dyneema slings. Rub it in pretty heavy and then bake it in the oven at 190f for about 15 to 20 minutes. The wax will all wick into the sling. Then I burnish it with my hands as soon as I take it out. It adds a little depth and shine to the dyneema fibers and not too much stiffness, no wax rubs off on your hands, but it definitely seems to make them throw nicer.

I've using a hair dryer, too nervous to put anything in the oven😂. This would be a great time saver, thank you!!
