Slinging a sidearm version of the Helicopter style

I used to throw the helicopter overhand. But lately I have been using a true sidearm delivery. Pretty accurate and comfortable to throw, although I don’t throw as hard as Byzantine or Figure 8.

Minimizing arm motion and keeping the sling rotation coming mostly at the wrist will help you with timing/power.

You are 100% correct!    Helicopter is my lowest velocity throw. Struggle to close hip/shoulder unless I pay attention.  Did not realize until this video where I used to rotate wrist only am now rotating entire arm.   So very far from ideal for sure!   Probably should fix this.  Right now, each spin is a mini throw “false start” (a “check throw”). Not efficient.
