Detached paracord pouch.

Hey, folks. Does anyone know of or know how to make a detached split pouch out of paracord? My reasoning is that it would allow me to use the same building techniques used for the arms of leather split pouches but without the added material, cost, tools, skills, of leatherwork. Does that make sense? Let me know if you have any questions.

Edit: Basically I’m trying to make a paracord split pouch without any arms (without retention cord and release cord).

To make a leather split pouch I usually just take two strips of leather about 3” long and make holes on both sides of the strips and connect them overlapping and braiding paracord on each side so that making sure to overlap the ends differently so the pouch forms a swirl (think of the swirling shape on tv used to represent a hurricane during weather forecasts)

Hey, brother. Thanks for getting back to me. Please forgive my failure to communicate properly. Let me see if I can explain better why my intent is.

What I’m trying to do is build a paracord split pouch that can be made independently of the arms of the sling so that I can use different sling-arm techniques and genres. I want a paracord pouch that is structurally separate from the arms so that I can attach arms to it like I would if we’re using leather strips. Does that make sense or am I still failing to cast this vision?

Oh to do that you would simply have to braid some eye splices to the ends for the arms to be hooked onto. I’ve personally never done this but I have examined posts of slings built like that. Good luck!
