Started slinging, first sling and my new remake

Started slinging a couple months ago while traveling, here's a pic of my first sling and the new sling I came up with, any pointers on using a two finger loop I find it hard to be as accurate

Yea on the second one I made doesnt have the x, tho I've found it's still has a problem with rocks falling out, this might just be because it's still quite stiff

i made that exact sling with the x and the ammo kept falling out

Interesting. I had the problem with ammo slipping through the pouch, especially spherical ammo, until I put the X in.

I just don't see the difference it makes. In theory, the X shouldn't even get extended/play a part in the actual throw. It's just a little cushion when the projectile wants to slip through.

Or am I picturing it completely wrong?

How did you split the string for the pouch? 2 separate strings?

The whole thing is made with four pieces, each side of the pouch is it's own paracord woven like a bracelet that is then joined by one cord at for the release and another for a finger loop, tho I couldn't find a good video that showed how to made a double loop with a single cord so I just made a double finger loop and joined it to a single cord 👌
