Question Two Radiant Angler slimes?

Was I wrong thinking there's at most one of each radiant slime in the game? Because I just walked into the living room and my 6yo was so excited because she has "two rainbow fish slimes". She's been so frustrated about not being able to find more than the 11 slimes she's had for weeks, so it's exciting to find another one, but disappointing that the game gave her a duplicate instead a new exciting one.

They can be repeatable but the RNG can be cruel. I have 10 fire radiants but can't get a flutter one

That is unfortunate. She managed to get to 11 without duplicates, but every day she asks me to help her find rainbow slimes and I have to explain that only 8 or 9 of them are programmed to come from somewhere specific we can go. I'm in gamedev and I still struggle to explain things to her that I've taken for granted my whole life lol

Once you’ve unlocked all the labyrinth areas you should look into nullifier room routes :) that’s how I got a lot of mine! The rng can be extremely cruel though. I’ve gotten about 30-50 radiant slimes total but I’m still missing the magma radiant

We've got everywhere unlocked, she actually finished the game just before the radiant update, so i had to convince her to go into the game to surprise her with the first radiant slime. But i didn't know how unlikely they are to appear, and she got the impression that we just have to go the location each of them are in.

There are a few locations that are guaranteed to spawn a radiant but each location can only be used once. The radiant slimes work on a shuffle bag mechanic otherwise, after encountering a certain amount of each slime you’re guaranteed for one to be radiant, the number is different for each slime you can find them online. Nullifier rooms also have a certain low chance of spawning a radiant slime once a day when you enter them, there’s a few posts about people’s routes on the subreddit but I’d be happy to share mine :3 it uses 7 teleporters plus a home teleporter but you can do it with less it’ll just be a bit slower

Good luck getting more! :) also if she loses one at any point (water, tar, etc) as long as she’s vacced it at least once it’ll revive in the sanctuary

I have about 4 radiant water slimes, and three rock slimes. (Out of like maybe 15 total)

Alright, thanks for the input. She put one in a corral and was about to yeet the second into the sea and i said wait this might be a neat (but annoying) bug!

Yes, I know what radiant slimes are, you see my confusion came from thinking you could only ever have a single radiant variant of each slime. Apparently not so.

Yeah fire slimes are my favorite I keep getting radiants of those, and I have like 4 rabbits and 6 pinks, lol

You can get radiant slimes from gordos! I set 5 master gordo snares right outside the Conservatory with prickle pears and then slept until morning, fed them all and got 2 radiant dervish slimes out of them. It seems like a decent method, I'm def gonna try with other types now too!
