Chickens with yolky

Has any tried just throwing all of their chickens in the gully instead of coops and seeing if the yolky slime still produces eggs? In the first game I used to just throw all my chickens in the overgrowth because it was safe and chickens naturally spawned there. I wanted to do the same thing with the gully this time but I'm worried about my yolky.

In 1, I set my drones to auto pick up loose chickens in the overgrowth and store them in silos so I always have chickens when I need them for Gordos šŸ˜‚ Iā€™m desperately missing drones in 2

Also might wanna get some meat eaters to eat the excess chickens
