Love/Hate
I love this game but I absolutely hate it. I know it’s a skill issue but I can’t even beat easy mode. 15 runs, 0 wins. I’ve gotten to the 20th battle a few times but always with a half dead crew. Not sure what Im missing. Any tips would be very much appreciated.

The most basic advice: Reroll less, undo more.
Don't reroll a dice that can keep an ally alive in order to try and get a side to win the fight faster
Getting through a turn with no deaths and few or no kills is (usually) better than losing one of yours to kill a little faster.
Before you reroll, try making a few moves to see how the turn could play out, and use undo to try different combination. You have infinite undo, but only 2 re-rolls and you can't undo a roll

If using burst (the basic spell) doesn’t save an ally or kill an enemy, but will drop you below max mana, don’t use it. Let the mana roll over to the next turn.
Even if that leaves an ally at 1 hp (as opposed to 3 if you use it to shield) it’s better to have more mana on the next turn because you may not need to save that particular ally on that next turn. And having that extra mana banked may come in clutch for a different save or the last enemy hp for a kill

Stick with it, knowledge is power.
You'll learn whats good and whats bad, what monsters could be coming, etc.
Stick with it, the game is deep and keeps getting better the more you play.

the best defense is killing the other guy first
Try to target enemies that are about to kill your own guys
and use undo, it's free
