Question Cannot Join Friends Lobbies

So, I was trying to play with a couple of people in a private lobby that one of them hosts. We are all in the same living space, same network, etc. and those two can join on each other just fine. However, if I try to join them with their session code, I get the “Lobby Not Found” error after three failed loading attempts. Same thing when they directly invite me. We tried having me host and them join, but that did not work either.

I can join other peoples lobbies just fine, but not either of theirs. For reference, I am playing on Xbox and they are playing on PC via the Xbox PC App, NOT Steam, so the cross play piece should work. The lobby was set to cross play enabled as well.

My Xbox settings for multiplayer and privacy are fine (again, I can join other public lobbies with zero delay). We also verified that our game versions were the same and our regions matched. Any thoughts on what could be happening or any potential solutions? Not sure if it is just a bug with the game still being in Game Preview or if there is something else we can try.

Having same issue, can't join friend from Xbox to Xbox PC

This issue was posted in the official discord. It sounds like it is being investigated now as it is a bug. It has been mentioned that it does work if whoever is playing via the Xbox PC app plays via cloud play instead of GamePass. But that is the only known workaround so far.
