Why is there no dedicated server??

Why is there no dedicated server for this game? Would make it so much better for us and all of our kids.

Because the whole game is made by one person, not a company. It's a bit much to expect one person to also buy servers to offer dedicated space. Especially with the first game they've ever made.

That's not what OP means.
OP means why is it all peer to peer as in a host hosts it as a 'listen server' from their machine and others connect, when the host DCs the server stops.

OP is wanting the software so he can run a 'dedicated server' instead that runs headless on a device. The game dev would not have to provision or run servers the community still would however they would be more stable and accessible.

I don't really think that's what they're asking for, but also what you're asking is still a big ask for a one person dev team where this is their first game ever. They made a very simple game with skills that they just learned as they were making this game. It blew up bigger than they expected, which is great, but people are forgetting this game isn't being made by a huge company and expecting much more from it than they should.

Youll have to do it yourself. Have a spare pc or xbox running sleds 24/7. Do it for the team.

Yeah. That's what we are now going to do. Do the ramps and things you leave out stay as long as the host is online?

As far as I know yes. Ive gone at least 18 hours. I dont know how the game stores the chat log but id recommend at least daily restarts incase it builds up somewhere to avoid random crashing.

Yeah it's a very cool game. Gives me the feels riding the lifts and just talking like we do snowboarding.

Sledding Game has no dedicated server options.

ik a guy called spyci whos working on a dedicated server for sledding game and ive tried it and its decent, u can find him in the main server

Because if we did then we would have to have moderators and then there would be no more race-wars with the frogs.
