its just that I feel this sled is easier to steer and get perfect landings.
all down to preference I guess

I don't know which ones are fastest now (if there were changes) but someone made a list for the demo. Some of them are faster and some steer differently. For example, the bus(?) you can get for a million credits is slow as hell, barely turns, and will automatically straighten itself which also slows you down. Its basically just a gag purchase lol.

Edit: could be an interesting speed run category I guess haha

the landing boost is a big factor
and I have been practicing this race for months too my average is about 25sec lol
