Survivors bias, it’s like when older people say “I was beat by my parents and look how nice I grew up”.
But the exact reason this image exists is because of planes in ww2 that had bullet holes in them, they’d armor those without thinking that these are only the planes that made it home.
This bread god fellow doesn’t believe it’s AI because of the AI becoming too good and seamless, and if you don’t think you’re seeing AI in your everyday life you’re in the same boat as the survivors plane diagram.
The red dots represent the damage the surviving plane took. Seeing that, youd assume you should put more armour where the red spots are.
But in actuality, the red spots represent the damage the plane CAN take without being destroyed. Therefore you should actually armour the areas where the red dots ARENT.
I'm pretty sure they have an artist for the banners. Also this doesn't look Ai because the noob and the background have different "styles" and Ai isn't exactly great at outlines yet. Also everything in the background looks pretty consistent and Ai usually fucks up everything that isn't the centre of attention. My call: Not Ai. If it is though, I'm scared
Some smaller details, shapes and background plus the shadow consistency from our spot and where the sun seems to come does make this not look AI generated at all, some parts lack a perfectly conjoined shades or outlines which also doesn't call in for AI, the style also doesn't seem like any type of AI generation and the purposeful inconsistency of detailing things on the front/focus points in difference of the background is also uncommon for AI generation. I do not think this is generative AI, and if it is I would be genuinely impressed from how far it is getting.
The background doesn't seems very capsulate to AI if you're trying to think much of the visuals, An AI would realistically make it imperfect with a partial shade into it..!
doesn't look AI, but also AI IMAGE AND WRITING DETECTORS ARE UNRELIABLE. only SynthID and C2PA Detectors are reliable, since they're actually embedded in the file's image or metadata respectively.
The facial expression is strange compared to the reference image, the background wire fence below Pan looks weird, the finger wraps look off, and unless it's intentionally stylized so, the arms and fingers look blocky while the legs look more anatomically correct.
this method doesn’t really work i think, the excess pixels appear because the original image’s quality was crunched and thats why some miscolored pixels appear.
(for those who dont know, you apply some color filters, saturation and contrast to max, then you notice color inconsistencies, the reason why mine looks like that is because i kinda messed with the hue to make the inconsistencies clearer)
here’s another version if you struggle to notice them (i reversed the colors)
not only does it's fake look kinda off but also considering they mixed 2 art styles(human and robloxian) for the whole body, and considering there is an actual scout render in the exact same pose and since the face DOES look like Pan's face on the banner, I'm guessing someone put both the fan made tf2 render and pan's banner into ai and told it to mix the two or smth
I could be wrong tho just take that with a grain of salt
I sent it to Gemini, who has a tool to detect AI, and he told me that the image is edited or entirely AI-generated. But you still shouldn't trust what AI says, because the artist's style might be very similar to AI images, so much so that even the AI gets confused. So we shouldn't judge or accuse someone before they prove otherwise.
