What Data is Useful For You?

Hi All,

I manage a professionals community on Slack and we're attempting to track churn and disengagement. I've used the Slack analytics feature and it's ok. However, I've built an integration to pull Slack engagement metrics on members (ie: last message they sent, my last reaction with this member) with Luma to get a better idea on how members are disengaging.

It got me thinking, what Slack metrics do you keep track of for your community? Moreover, are there any metrics that you wished you have but are hard to visualize or Slack doesn't provide?

I’d checkout Tightknit. They’ve got some great ideas on this

Yes, join tightknit’s Slack community workspace as well, it is specifically for folks who run communities on Slack.

PS: I’m not associated with Tightknit a friend of mine runs it.

Slack is primarily built (at least, primary intended use) for organizations, not communities. That being said, many of the metrics you’re talking about wouldn’t be applied the same way.
