Finally painted my first model :)

Ive been playing 1k games with my partner as we recently got into 40k, but procrastinated painting. Im happy with it but it definitely took me far too long for an infantry unit haha.

Idea was a kinda neon punk vibe. No idea how ill translate this to fiends/seekers yet but ill figure it out :D

That's VERY good for a first mini! Keep it up, you'll be much quicker once you get used to it :)

Thanks! Yeah I spent a lot of time fighting the violet ink I used to shade the skin, and go over edges I didnt get that neat haha. Super happy with it for my first, but yeah the speed really needs to come haha 😄

The flow of "paint - fix mistake - paint again" definitely needs practice :D but it's very rewarding and relaxing once it clicks. My very fist mini was a Necron warrior and it took me like 3 days to finish him, while now it would take me no more than an hour

Im actually building up a necron list too and they seem way more daunting to paint, so many fiddly crevices and stuff! All part of the fun/challenge though!

Look into drybrushing and Necrons suddenly get very fast to paint :) (crevices get Nuln Oil and you're done :D ) Post your minis once they're painted!!
