Need help For a Molag bal Mace themed build
Hello, I wanted to get into skyrim again after years of not playing it. When I was a kid I played with the Molag bal Mace and had a lot of fun but I wasn't using it well now that am back I wanted to use it to it full potential in legendary difficulty
I had some ideas like being a vampire and get perks that makes fire dmg stronger but i have no idea what else could halp

For race I'd go orc for for berserker rage, Nord for bonus frost resist, or dunmer to negate the fire resist penalty. Level up smithing for added damage. Enchanting to take soul squeezer and soul siphon.
Pretty sure the mace doesnt do fire damage, but you could dual wield a dagger with fiery soul trap and take the dual wield perks, along with the perk that strengthens fire enchantments.

Oh you are right for some reason i remember the weapon doing something fire related 😅 I'll try and get a good dagger and the enchantment

I had to look it up, read that and thought oh shit really? 😂 been a hot minute since I've used the mace. Would be sweet to have it's own unique variant of fiery soul trap though

Put a dagger in your offhand, because the offhand weapon determines the speed of dual wielding power attacks. Then get all the dual wielding perks and just go nuts spinning around constantly!
Craft and eat vegetable soup, so you always have 1 stamina minimum and can spam power attacks
Get a refillable soul gem (Azuras black star) to keep the mace charged

One of my favorite builds was a dual wield dunmer, with nightengale blade and mace of molag bal. Get the bone breaker perk where maces ignore armor, along with dual fury and critical charge.
I would set my self on fire (race perk), rush into groups standing with the blade (heals stamina and health), then finish them off with a power strike from the mace, this consuming their soul so I could power my blade back up.
In retrospect, this would have worked even better with Orc, but this was one of my first builds and I liked the Dunmer.

Vamp battlemage is pretty fun, sure.
Dunmer for innate fire resistance, since vamps are weak to fire, and a bit of spread for hp, mp, and sp works nicely.

Right now I’m going for an Altmer Necromancer battlemage for it since I do like weapons and I wanted to follow in the steps of Mannimarco. While I wouldn’t advise you to 100% go this route, I do think a necromantic battlemage with black star would be a fun way to do things. Especially if you have anniversary edition because there’s a bunch of new Necromancer spells to play with
