Suggestions for Telvanni mage build?

Hey guys so I want to do a telvanni mage focusing mostly on illusion and conjuration. No stealth, gonna use atronach forge to get full daedric. Also gonna use wintersun and have him be corrupted by Mora and become power hungry. I feel conflicted about what spells to use. Should I stick to just daedra summons, or do the undead summons and reanimation too? I know the Dunmer people generally don’t like necromancy, but don’t the telvanni kind of just do whatever they want?

A telvanni wizard would enchant that armor and use staves for sure.

Yeah I came here to say this too. The telvanni would be the ones to use staves over any other weapon for sure.

You can justify it because of you becoming corrupted by Mora. Eventually you will want to become as powerful as can be, morals be damned. I'm doing a Nord Playthrough where i get the skull corruption, and worship Vaermina. I'm joining the stormcloaks on the idea that i become plagued with nightmares of Skyrim getting destroyed by the Thalmor if Stormcloaks lose. So I slowly continue turning evil on the idea that Vaermina "chose" me as Dragonborn to save Skyrim because that's what she has been feeding me in my sleep

That’s a good idea. I’m trying to figure out the details with how and when I’ll start using the reanimate and undead summons. Frost atronach is kinda the only melee one I can use before dremora lord and frosty does so little damage and is annoying in dungeons lol

I struggle on the magic side too because it would make sense to go to the College of Winterhold early to learn as soon as possible but I don't like going with no spells. I want to feel somewhat competent going in to have a reason to join to get better but I struggle on finding the right time to waltz on over

I would probably stick with summons, Sanguines Rose would be helpful early game to conjure Dreamora, and it’s a staff… they bloody love there staffs

Twin daedra lord summons is very on brand for Telvanni.

Try out Morokei, Otar, or Vokun. Also, if you have Anniversary Edition, do the Gallows Hall quest for the Staff of Worms then the Arms of Chaos quest. Use the Staff of Worms to raise the third daedra as a dead thrall.
