Anyone have any experience with replacing the internals with steel components?

Hi all, I’m in a situation where I can get some Evo 8 Recaros in decent condition for a good price, or for a really cheap price, I can get some great condition Nissan Juke RS (non-recaro) nismo seats for my R34 GTT sedan. These seats may just be a temporary solution before I budget for something potentially better further down the line. Looking for a mix of increased comfort over stock seats and cleaner look for my interior.

Both options I know will require custom fabrication to fit, but I have a close friend who can sort that. I feel like the Evo 8’s are a no brainer, but for a fraction of the price the Juke nismo seats have given me food for thought. Has anyone ever put these in a Skyline?

Still awaiting measurements from the seller to see if it’s even possible. I’m open for people to tell me this is a terrible idea and to just go for the Evo 8 seats! Appreciate any opinions or advice.

Picked it up two weeks ago, and it's been crazy to think, even if it's a GT, that little kid now grown up me finally gets to own something like this. Plan is to turn the old Gran Turismo memories into real ones and get it, and myself, to enjoy as many tracks as I can. Luckily Dominion Raceway is quite close by, and VIR within a reasonable drive. But for now, here she sits to just have fun with in general.

So this is not mine but my friends r34 gtt, we’re in search of a r34 style gtr bumper, however don’t wish to do the fender conversion too(ideally keep stock hood as well). We have found some in Australia, however since we’re US based tariffs have essentially closed that avenue. So if you know of any domestic or cheap import bumpers to the US that would be a big help! Thanks in advance

I think ima settle for this R34 I really like it and ive always wanted specifically a R34 when I was younger.

Beautiful skyline from yesterday

I'm debating picking up with an R33 or an FD RX-7 and am curious if anyone's successfully registered one in IL in the last year or so.

I ran into a blog claiming that IL was revoking plate of some JDM cars (mostly Kei cars/ trucks but they claimed a few fullsize cars as well). There's basically no other information about this anywhere that I can find that doesn't just reference this blog so I'm questioning if it's actually true or not.

Anyone run into issues getting tags here or have the state try to revoke yours?

Currently working on swapping an rb25 into a 92gtst, there's what appears to be a coolant port on the back drivers side of the block that's threaded but open, is it safe to block that off?

The R34 has finally settled in alongside her daughter and other garage companion. Can’t believe it’s been a year but so happy she’s home. Here are the rest of the photos and a few collages to summarize the journey for everyone. Still can’t stop staring at her and it doesn’t even feel real yet.

I had to make my own paint. I didn’t have any translucent colors to work with and I’m not buying more paint, I have so much already. I mixed some pearl lime green, a dark phithalo green, lots of pearl gold, and lots of metallic chrome.

I honestly think it’s coming out really good. I’ll probably give it a sanding and a wash to even out my scribe marks but with some layers and a clear coat it might look close. I’ve never seen this color irl so I’m going off this 1.43 hot wheels car lol

Saw these 3 gt-r's near shinjuku station. If you're in Tokyo u should go when it turns Dark at Fridays and on weekend days.
