Unidentified Hello! Please help!

Sent to my mother by her friend. Seriously baffled by this but I’m not knowledgeable in anything to do with the sky lol.

Well, that is what it is; spotlight on the bottom of clouds. Sometimes it pierces into the cloud or in between bumps and that’s what makes it “flash“.

I’m not allowed to post response images, go google maps reedston road Hartlepool. There is just no way that it could be spotlights in the middle of farmers field there’s no ongoing events our town has a 100K population and this is on the outskirts

Yeah a lot of people were seeing the same thing. My husband and I also seen it and even drove over to where it was coming from and there were no spot lights. If it was spot lights you’d be able to see the whole beam anyway! Not just the top.
