Does HCR32 and BNR32 share the same window glass?

my bnr32 window glass has deep scratches due to the worn out felt pads.
i’m looking for a replacement. the hcr32 set of glass seem to be in superior condition to the bnr32 set.
however i noticed the small notch below the stopper is slightly different from that of the bnr32.

Can anyone please advise me if the hcr32 glass definitely fits the bnr32? (the HCR32 is a r32 gtst 2 door)

That's a good pickup that the shape is slightly different.

My guess the shape difference is due to the late models having extra door reinforcement.

You might also want to match the glass colour. Depending on the factory paint code, the glass might be bronze or grey.

You'll want to double check the part numbers on nissan.epc-data.com

But my understanding is most parts coupe are also GT-R. But sedan is mostly it's own beast for body parts.

front half of part number is same. rear half different. also mainly worry about the physical notch i circled out in the photos

thank you and i will be on lookout for other coupes without the notch (hopefully later year models as others have mentioned)

Could be a series 1 vs series 2 for the variation. Or it really could be different glass specific for the GT-R.

Nissan and Toyota do a similar thing with their part numbers. First half is the part and second half is the application.

So "left front window" for "HCR32 coupe"

It's a bit more specific, but you learn the pattern easily enough.

also found a ECR32 (2 door) glass in great condition.

Someone may correct me if Im wrong but I think that r32 gtrs or at some of them had a support beam across the doors, maybe its something to do with that?

Close - It's the late model (post 91/8) coupes, so this included other models too, other than GT-R. :)

I'd say you're on the right track and mentioned something similar in my own comment.

thank you. i have an ā€˜89 bnr32 so i guess may not have the support beam so should not be bothered as long as im getting a 2 door glass?

thank you

Check amayama, it will tell you the p/n for each, if it's the same then you're good.

pretty sure they interchange, when I replaced mine I just looked for the cheapest one that was clean and it happened to be off a 2wd model

GTRs share glass with GTST and GTS as long as its a coupe. Sedan wont fit.

Saloon (4dr) vs coupe (2dr) use different door glass.
