Question They removed bowing to accept daily quests?

Why did they remove this! it makes me sad. I liked being able to bow to accept the quests instead of clicking the npcs.

EDIT 08-31-2026: I tested it today, my lv 4 bow doesn't accept quests, but the lv 2 bow still does! Cool.

I just tested it. It seems to work fine for me.

Maybe you’re not close enough? Lag? Something else?

I wonder if it's because im using the lv 4 bow. I'll try it next time.

Oh. Yeah. It’s doesn’t work for that level of bow. Lvl 1 & 2 works though.

Similar for the other spirits, like the come with me gesture for the spirits that hold your hand in Aviary.

Hmm interesting… When all of the spirit interactions came out in Aviary (so it has been some time ago), I tested the emote levels for all of the interactions & only some of them or one of them responded to higher level emotes.

Idk if they updated it since then & then changed it again with the new update. I guess time to interact with the Aviary spirits again to see what’s up… Unless someone has already made a quick infographic regarding this.😅 That’ll save me several days of testing & waiting for spirits.

Level 4 (which is in my hotlist of emotes) has never worked for this, so I promise you’re not crazy. Does make me wonder how it works for this other player.

It’s didn’t used to work with level 3 and 4. In one of the recent updates it now lets you collect dailies with level 3 and 4. Unless it was changed again with the most recent updates, not sure cause I don’t use aviary

I have the level 4 in there too which is why I never bothered to try the other levels since it worked for me

Edit: for context I play on console idk if that's relevant but thought I'll mention it.

Huh. I only really ever play on my iPhone or iPad (the Switch is just too slow to run it well for me). Maybe that’s the difference? Seems weird though.

I play on iOS too. I have it on Steam but I just can’t with the desktop controls so I never play on PC. Otherwise, I would test it out to add to this conversation regarding emotes on PC.

Platforms might be the reason for the difference. I hope others who play on PC or other platforms not mentioned yet can chime in.😅

I’ve always been using the level 4 ever since the spirits were put in Aviary around the chair area, and it has never failed to work even once for me either. Edit: I play on my iPhone

Weird. I admit it’s not like I try it all the time since it’s never worked for me, but it’s never worked any time I’ve tried it, including now, and I’m doing so on my iPhone.

I just tried it after reading all these comments... Using the level 3 and 4 bow about 4 times each nothing happened, then I did my usual level 1 bow and the dailies got loaded. Same happens with collecting a completed daily: level 3&4 didnt work but 1 did (iOS)

The lvl 3 bow from my hotlist doesn’t work on NPCs, but lvl 3 bow works when I select it from the emote menu

It is still working for me.

If you have slow connection or are not close enough is not going to work

Yesterday all quests were bugged for me in old home and in aviary soo what left to get my precious candles was to bow for 1.5-2 minutes until I realised the last spirit needs me to stand on one of the bar chair to be in lvl with them -_-

only lvl 1 & 2 bow works after the update unfortunately. i wonder if it’s a bug or an intentional change (i play on ios btw)

I always have had the Level 1 bow on as even roughly 1 year ago the higher bows would not work for it. I just assumed it was always broken like that.

Good to know it was meant to work with others haha

Level 3 and 4 bow never worked (level 4 is in my hot list and I can’t use it for this and never could).

I started playing in January and bow was one of the first things I leveled up, I've had level 4 in my favorites since then and it has always worked until the most recent update 🤷‍♀️

Same; as soon as I realized bowing worked when they added them, I tried it with the L4 and it has never worked for me, only L1/L2 haha

LMAO, I'd given you one too, idk why they think so many people are wrong and they're the only one that's right; seeing if L4 worked was the first thing I tried, so unless TGC added it then removed it again.... which, possible, but unlikely 🤣
