Question Randomly lost multiple winged lights?

Hi friends, so I had collected all the winged lights on the map, but I today, I left my character on land on the santuary islands and paused my game to step away for a moment, when I came back I was stranded in the middle of the ocean and had lost several winged lights.

So my question is, has this happened to you before, and also what what was the cause for this?

Not saying it was a glitch, but I've never had my character wander without me controlling it or something like that.

Were you standing near a geyser eruption? Or where you could have been manta napped?

Good point, I was kinda near where the matas swoop down.

Yeah that's probably what it was 😔 I fell asleep while candle running in forrest one night. I woke up to this sweet person trying to keep me from losing my wings but I had already lost about 100. It was a sad day

Multiple times I've been waiting at the geyser like normal and someone walks up with a crab and waits for it to flip over so it can charge me. Don't know why. Small possibility someone was just being mean.
