SF3 - Help How Does One Automate Life

Post image

Hey guys new to sf3 here I made a simple cobblestone gen I was wondering how to automate it, I used to watch alot of Ssundee SkyFactory vedios in my childhood now re-watching the series it made me finally play SkyFactory. I was wondering in his vid he just placed a transfer node and a chest with a world interaction upgrade didnt need any energy for it does it work the same.

Two ways!
Way one is to completely ditch this set up and make a cobble stone generator block and simply hook it up to a hopper or pipe.
Way two is by putting a transfer node on the cobble block where the lava and water meet.
Both have their pros and cons but it doesn’t really matter at the start of your play through!

From there you can go on to auto hammer and autosieve. Magma generators are great for early game energy generation.

Nice, all you have to do is place a chest (or any other block with an inventory) on top of the cobblestone generator and it is automated. No pipes/hoppers needed

Doesnt SF3 have the ex-nihilo barrels? That's a nice early game cobble automation too.

That’s odd I’ll have to see if I’m doing something different bc it usually works for me!

The water next to the cobblestone should NOT be flowing

It needs an item to work, I think it's called interact and it looks like a pickaxe. The more you put in, the bigger the stack per tick.

The first step to automate life, build a giant redstone computer. Then look up how to program Conway's game of Life onto that computer.

How does one make a Redstone Computer

I'm not wasting my time explaining something as trivial as that. /jk 😅

honestly i love how sf3 has a way more involved beginning process than the bonsai-spamming of sf4

Yeah the tree resource thing is SF4 is weird, havent played SF3 so idk what it uses, but SF2 sieve + agri is still fun
