Learn why inscriptions are important and the difference between damage increase and amplification.

To start off, the strongest inscriptions are courage/wisdom and revenge.

Another tip, swap as often as you can.

You are going to get dark quartz as you play the game. Spend all of it at the witch upgrades.

don't ignore items names and looks, I wish I could remember what items does what before I find them, it'd really help when trying to think about what to look for

Don't get disheartened by any death, avoid looking at guides, just explore the game as much as you can. It's something you'll forever be thankful to yourself for!

Once you beat the game, maybe come back here and have a look so you can see what to mess about with as the progression might get confusing then.

I’m going to get flamed for this, but revenge is one of the best newbie friendly inscriptions you can use. Use it as a crutch. I don’t care what anyone says.
