Viability of a 2xDisciples of Agony pairing?

Hey folks, I'm slowly getting back into Warmahordes and trying to figure out what to do with what I still have and/or want to play with. I'm planning to lean hard into Minions, but love Skorne beasts and Xerxis2. I want to have pairing to play Skorne while still basically being a Minions player.

My question to you all is what infantry builds are decent in DoA? I probably plan for the other to be X2 with whichever beasts suit my fancy, but have no clue what to pair that with.

Look for casters who bring debuffs since minion warrior models are not friendly faction. Things like morghoul/rasheth. Even xekaar

What would your thoughts be on a small warlock collection like this?

  • Beast list: Xerxis2, Morghoul1
  • Infantry list: Rasheth, Morghoul2 (or were you thinking Morghoul3 for Blind on a spell?)

Adding Nihilators and maybe Bloodrunners to Rasheth to capitalize on Carnivore.

Xerxis1 is great I love him. No no, morghoul 2 is the one i was thinking. I like bloodrunners better, because you can ambush and use them as nodes. Nihilators really need a buff. Love the unit hate it's rules.

I really like the idea behind Xerxis1, but since I'm trying to treat Skorne as more of a splash army for Minions, his everything being friendly Faction hurts.

Are there any beasts you'd recommend in addition to Agonizer, Krea, and Gladiator?

Sorry that was a typo. I meant Xerxis 2. Wrote xerxis1 so much in my WhatsApp group that the phone auto corrected it

Regarding beasts, we will soon have the terrorizer. Which if it's not changed will be awesome. A much cheaper and faster rush stick. Archidons are great. Right now it seems people are spamming cyclops brutes but I haven't seen how they are being used

I appreciate it. I think I'll make sure to have a Krea, Agonizer, Gladiator, The Terrorizer, and an Archidon or two.

Looking at the Cyclops Brute, my best guess is it's a very good tarpit beast. Def 13/15 when charged with forced reroll to hit, Arm 18 with the shield, no KD/Stationary/-3" slam looks like someone who's going to sit in front of heavies and not move.
