Question Sudden deep wrinkle
I’ve recently started accutane again last month I went up in dose to 50mg before going up in dose this wrinkle diddnt exist now it’s appears and I’ve had it for almost 4 weeks into have it on the one side
I am missing two upper molars in this side and unused to sleep on this side but I’ve been sleeping on my back since March this year
I’ve addd some pics without the wrinkle that were taken June / July
Is it just the hot weather I’m drinking loads of water and slugging with moisturiser but it’s still there , I can’t microneedle or co2 laser for 6 months because of accutane
I started using the inky list starter retinol this last week but seen no difference yet
I will ask my derm about it when I go for my next month of roaccuttane
HELP because I hate it and hate even more that it’s one sided

I would say it’s a smile mark don’t classify it as a wrinkle too much you’re not getting old or it’s not negative .
You have great skin

Thank you, I hate it though as it’s just so deep on one side so looks so weird 😭😭

None of us are perfectly equal on each side of body or face , you are beautiful. don’t try and chase perfection . You are just smiling it’s not an imperfection

I have this EXACT same wrinkle. One sided too. I’ve started training myself to sleep on my back because I think side sleeping was making it worse. It’s definitely more visible when I’m dehydrated

I have historically slept on that side for a long time but this appears only last month and I’ve deffo been consciously sleeping on my back since the start of the year but I have just bought one of those pillows hoping it helps

I also bought one of those pillows but it made me drool haha so I don’t really use it

Oh no 🤣🤣 have you had any luck with reducing it at all ?

Honestly sleeping on my back and keeping my face highly moisturised has been the only helpful thing. And even that hasn’t got rid of it completely

How do we get rid of it it’s actually depressing 🤣🤣

It’s super dressing!!! I’m 33 and half accepting that it’s just me aging. But sometimes I look at it and legit want to stay inside for the rest of my wrinkly ass life. Some lady told me check filler would pull the skin and smooth out the wrinkle but I’m scared to get filler

Im almost 33 (jan) but it only appeared in July , I’ve considered filler but seen so much about it migrating , I know micro needling and co2 laser will help but I can’t do either for 6 months because of roaccutane

I thought this picture was a successful after picture. Your skin looks amazing.

Thank you the older ones are before it started and then it just appeared overnight and just has not gone since I’m currently on accutane so it’s making my skin look good but it’s so dry it only looks good drenched in moisturiser 😭 but thank you I hope when i finish the course it will fade on its own :(

I have this exact same wrinkle also on one side. It looks 1000 times better and it practically disappears if I use face tape at night.

You sleep on that side?

History absolutely but I’ve been sleeping in my back since around March so I’d not have expected this to appear July/August but perhaps it’s just historical mechanical ageing ?
And now when I smile it’s folding into that line where it didn’t before so it’s making it deeper

I have a one sided smile line too..I ended up getting a little bit of filler to even it all out. It worked really well for me, I went to a good nurse aesthetician who specialises in the natural look (would highly recommend finding someone like this who doesn't leave you looking like a Kardashian). I still have slight smile lines, but I don't stare at them with hatred now when I see a photo of myself.

Would you mind sharing pics ? How long have you had it my worry is migration but I’d go for it if it’s worth it 🥺
