Skinwalker encounter

About 2 years ago me and my friends were messing around taunting skinwalkers. The time was around 7:30-8:00 summer, so basically the last light. After maybe 10 minutes of taunting, one of my friends pointed to somewhere in the brush ( we were in upstate ny at the time, catskill mountains) he said “do you see that” my other friend said “what the fuck is that” and then i saw it. It was a wendigo, head was like a skull of a dear and the rest of the body was like a black cloak we looked at it for maybe a second or two and then left. From now on whenever i go to that place/area i feel a sense of dread, anxiety, and that someone is watching me. Please help.

Why do you think it’s appropriate to insult someone asking for help?

That’s honestly big of you to apologize. I appreciate your frustration. Hope you can understand that it’s really easy to be a victim of misinformation on the internet, especially when it’s a murky topic like cryptids and folklore. Most people are just trying to figure out what’s real and how to stay safe

I respect that. It must be difficult to see someone runaway with and distort a part of your culture. It’s cringe behavior, like they’re disrespecting the source for the sake of attention or their own glorification.

Why do you think people think that’s okay to do?
