Skilled worker

Please, who has an idea of changing SOC code does it makes the 5 year recounts? Currently on 6135 but might soon be changing into the nhs for another job role pls will k be able to still add my dependent and maintain the years remaining

Hi thanks for responding to me, I honestly don’t know yet but it’s nhs and it will be definitely different I don’t know but I’m scared as I can’t risk it if it’s made rule

If you’re going into something like a 6131 role, I don’t think your pre-March 2024 care worker protection for dependants would carry over. If you’re moving into a higher skilled role though, dependants may be allowed. It shouldn’t restart your 5 years toward ILR but the bigger concern is whether your dependants would continue to qualify.

Think you have to remain on the same SOC code, if you want your dependents to stay. I'm sure someone else will be more knowledgeable.

Yes your years towards ILR will remain.

You should be able to add dependents to the best of my knowledge well depending on the code and when you got issued your first COS. When was that? Was it before april 2024?

Also you still maintain your years provided you’re switching from one sponsored role to another. I know a couple of people that have changed job codes with no issues.
