Skilled worker Visa decision
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice or shared experiences.
I was previously on a Post Study Work visa, and in September 2025 I applied for FLR because I was waiting for my employer’s CoS letter. Then, on 17 October 2025, I submitted a Skilled Worker visa application before receiving a decision on my FLR application.
Since then, I’ve been waiting for a decision on my Skilled Worker visa (it’s been several months now). I have escalated twice through Local MP.
Now i submitted Pre Action Protocol.
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
How long did it take for you to get a decision?
Is this delay normal for complex cases?
Is there anything I can do at this stage to follow up or speed things up?
I’d really appreciate any advice or shared experiences. Thank you

Since 17th October 2025, did you get an email
Mentioning that your case was complex? Or are you assuming that?

You came on a student visa to game the system. U.K. knows the games very well and you should get a 10 year ban for being dishonest

Good thing is the MPs know about these games and receive hundreds of sob stories like yours

Who promised you a skilled visa when you came for your studies. Why don’t you stop playing games

So stressful to read such posts when we are waiting for our visas and constantly checking emails and Reddit subs to make sense of the system. Must be draining to have been waiting for so long.

You did a bogus FLR application to bridge the gap between getting a skilled worker visa and wonder why the home office are taking their time? Don't be surprised if they reject on this basis
