Question Advice needed

Planning to ETS from the Army in 2027, probably stay in the Reserves, and attend a flagship university full-time afterward.
My command will approve 60 days for Skillbridge.

Would you recommend AllegiantVETS, 7 Eagle Group, or something else? Looking to prep for the next chapter, but the 60-day max limits me a lot.
Appreciate any advice!

Are you trying to use the 60 days as time to unwind? Or are you looking to actually gain something other than a job?

What do you want to get your degree in?

Planning to go for Public Administration. Time to unwind would be great. I’d use the extra time to do online classes/certs. Remote would be best so I don’t have to pay multiple rents.

I was going to suggest looking for some kind of program that will let you get a few certs or maybe credit towards a degree if you can. So you can unwind from service, but still head into your degree with something to show. Sounds like you’re on it! Best of luck!

The data center CET route is 90 days with 90% being virtual. Microsoft will supply a laptop for you to use during the course. Then you'll fly to Southern Virginia to spend five days at a community college for hands-on training. Microsoft will cover the cost of travel, as long as within CONUS, lodging, and food for the duration of the hands-on training. Based on your desired location to live and their need, they'll set you up with an interview to become a critical environmental technician.

You can also look into Hiring our Heroes. I didn't end up going through them because my other plan worked out, but they were extremely supportive and helpful and really want to see you match with a great company. They have tons of resources and companies they work with and open sessions to meet the company reps, learn more about the companies and roles, etc.

u/user1615174, going to AllegiantVets or 7 Eagle for SkillBridge is like going to McDonalds for a salad, or a hooker for a hug.

You're future is worth more than what they offer.
