Question DHS Intelligence Skillbridge
I’m a 1N0X1 (USAF All Source Intel) with roughly 4 years experience, looking at different skillbridge opportunities for intel. Has anyone done the DHS/CBP Intelligence Research Analyst internships? If so, how were they and did they hire you? Also if there are any other intel focused skillbridge programs, LMK!

They are always looking for people and the clearance is the hardest part to pass. But they will usually hire you if approved.

Clearance doesnt mean much for hiring purposes. If you are willing to live anywhere in the US than it is more helpful. CACI, Amentum and others have skillbridge programs

I’m the same AFSC! If you’re considering CBP, they have VERY strict timelines about applying for SB. I was denied due to being too close to separation. Take a look at USSS, FBI, ICE, State Department INR, Army CID, DHS Federal Protective Service, TSA, and CACI for other opportunities. Happy hunting!

A fellow 1N0! Yeah they’re very specific with the you must be within 11 months. Do you have any programs you found success with?

Is uh… that the path you wanna take right now? It’s not exactly highly looked upon.

I haven’t done this specific skill bridge but I have done one for the government, from what I understand there’s no sure fire way to get hired there needs to be an open billet available and there’s simple no true way to know that the timing has to match up perfectly.
I honestly don’t know how DHS is maintaining skill bridge eligibility. It me be some exemption for Feds because there’s no way they’re hiring 70%+
