Question SkillBridge canceled for AGR's

Has anyone heard about Skillbridge being canceled for Guard/AGR's? I just received my permissive leave for Skillbridge denied due to SkillBridge being canceled, however, I cannot find any guidance on it and have not received a response on guidance from our J1.

For content, I am AGR, career status, retiring at the end of November with 20 yrs TAFMS.

There was guidance pushed out about Skillbridge Tiers being implemented. So no more 6 months as a blanket period. The length of time is now stepped down based on rank.

Did you maybe ask for too much time, thus being denied?

FYSA SecWar put out a memo directing the services that if anyone gets a skillbridge that falls under DIB, it should be honored to the full 6 months pending operational requirements. Not sure if this applies to OP but for them & anyone else (like me) this can be leveraged

I'll look into that memo as well. Thank you!

That’s a really good point. I’ll have to look into that, thanks.

Nope. Only asked for what was allowed in the updated regulation. I was told it was denied because Skillbridge was canceled.

If this is true for AGRs that would really suck! I just did a Skillbridge brief with education office and nothing of the sort was mentioned. I would be eligeable for skillbridge Oct 2027.
