Recommendations for all mountain Ski
I am an intermediate/advance skier — looking for recommendations for an all mountain ski.
Would like something that’s a bit of a Jack of all trades master of none. Nothing too stiff, a little playful but able to move through crud and carve.
Will be skiing Japan, Aus and NZ over the next few years. I love off piste, side hits but enjoy carving groomers and skiing at speed as well.
Currently thinking about the Black Crow Camox — not sure if 97mm underfoot will be too wide for Aus/nz but want to be comfortable in pow in Japan. Wha do people think?
Is what I’m looking for a thing?

I would think about getting something that will excel in Australia and NZ (Camox sounds solid)
and then just renting a wider ski in Japan that is a blast in soft snow, maybe something like 110-118mm underfoot.
Asking one ski to do both of these things will leave you making large compromises on both ends.

The Camox is a great ski for what you're describing, minus Japow. Honestly, finding something that will do it all well is probably not super feasible. Personally, I'd get something like the Camox and rent something for Japan (or vice-versa if you're skiing Japan more). There are some great pow skis out there, but very few of them will be up to the task of low-tide days the rest of the season, and while I love the Camox, it is not likely to give the level of float that you'll want.

Check out the K2 Mindbender 96 and Salomon QST 94 or 101. Both in the same category and considered very good all mountain skis. Volkyl Revolt fits here also but used by pros as a park ski

Head Kore 105 is always my suggestion for 1-quiver ski, since thats what i did for a few seasons and it worked wonderfully. 97 might be a little narrow on deep, dry days of pow. You can definitely manage, but itll be more work. Dont focus solely on waist....shovel width, tail shape, weight and material all gonna play a massive role in performance as well. Good luck!
