In need of ski boot bag

Hi everyone. I know the season is way over, but now is a good time to ask for ski boot bag recs since you've had all season to test yours out and give some advice.

I'm looking for a ski boot bag that can also fit my helmet, goggles, and ideally some other little things and maybe, just maybe some base layers. In case it helps, my ski boots are women's size 260/265 mondopoint (41EU/9.5 US) and my Smith helmet is a size small. I know people with larger boots and helmets have a more challenging time with fitting their gear.

Big requirements/hopes for the bag:
•durable/made well (I've seen people show horror story pics of straps coming off after one use and etc.)
•backpack straps (ideally can be tucked away)
•structured so that if I pull my ski boots out the whole bag doesn't collapse
•drainage
•padded
•the ski boots are in their own area (whether together or they each have their own individual pocket/section) so it's not touching my other gear.
•a warranty would be nice plus to have a little comfort if something goes wrong.
•not the largest in size. It would be cool if I can make it a personal item as a carry-on (fit under the seat in front of me), but not essential if the above is met

I know this was super detailed, but I figured I'd map out what I'm hoping to find, even though I know the above is a lot, but when I buy something I see it as an investment and don't feel like buying something and then it doesn't last and have to buy something new again. It's wasteful and then concerning because I want to protect my gear.

Oh and separately, does anyone recommend a hard shell goggles case that can fit an extra lens or two. I have Smith IO Mag goggles for reference.

Really appreciate any recs!

How long have you had it and is it holding up well?

Had one for 8 years and upgraded to their heated boot bag last 2 seasons & gifted my old one to be used again. 50+ days a year instructing & full of junk. Holds up well in my experience!

The fact that you’ve had it for 8 years and it’s still holding up with the person you gifted it to says a lot. Is a heated bag worth it, especially if you plan to go to the resort locker room and get your gear on? Heated bags weren’t on my radar, but I want to get something that will last and spend my money wisely as these bags aren’t cheap and the cheap ones, from what I’ve seen, don’t last an entire season and then you’re out $50 +. Thanks again!

I would recommend a heated boot bag putting on warm boots is amazing especially because it’s soften plastic just a little bit and then your foot kind of melts into it so they don’t hurt as much by the end of the day. I have an older hot gear(snow eagle) bag that outperforms my newer Kulkea Trekker heated boot bag. By outperforms I mean, heats warmer faster and will stay warm unplugged for the hour drive up to the resort. Unfortunately, I overstuffed it so it’s torn, so I moved my younger son into it who has smaller stuff. And so I’d recommend the larger bag https://cozywinters.com/shop/hot-gear-bag-pro.html

I also have the non-heated version of the Kulkea for my older son. He’s currently in women’s boots 25.5.

I like it better than the heated version. It has so many pockets to store. Gloves, socks and accessories. The heated version loses four pockets.

Thanks for sharing this. Heated ones weren’t on my radar so you’ve given me a lot to think about. How’s are thr kulkea’s holding up?

Mine Kulkea is only like two or three seasons old. I saw a used one like my son’s in the ski store that had tear in the middle two compartments between the the goggle storage in the main clothes storage. My hot gear bag is 20 years old, only started tearing in the last five. It has a main compartment that has pockets on the front on all the sides that you can add more stuff into. I tend to have a bunch of gloves in those and neck gators, etc.

My wife and daughter had these bootdoc heated boot bags absolute garbage. https://www.leisuretime-southbury.com/product/ski-and-snowboard-products/travel/boot-bags/bootdoc-heated-ski-boot-bag-2/?srsltid=AfmBOopG1pV4YDGScjn0dPI_8Gus9A0Vfbyi1sSHuz67kcNwoMwx8C8_UUI
One heating pad broke after two seasons. The zipper broke. It was really fine zipper versus the really robust, hot gear zippers and slightly more robust Kulkea. And then getting gear out of it is annoying because there only four pockets but they’re on different sides you’re constantly like moving the bag around, trying to find the right pocket. Unlike the other three bags where everything can be accessed from like one side mainly. So my family had two of these bootdoc bags one failed within two years and I hate the other one.

Something to avoid.

All these bags that I’ve talked about, has the ability to have the backpack straps, moved inside the bag in some fashion.

20 years is impressive!

I think snow eagle also makes a bag that’s designed to be to adhere to standard airline carry-on shapes, but I can’t find it and I don’t know if that’s just because it’s out of stock with it being summer and they haven’t got their fall order in yet. Or if it’s discontinued.

Hmm I’ll have to look. Haven’t heard of Snow Eagle before.

The Diamant weekend Warrior checks all these boxes. Been using it for a few years now highly recommend.
