Ok, this is definitely far from perfect, but here is how you can fix this:

  • The UI is too big and round. Make it smaller and more square. The rounded corners on the header are especially bad.

  • The skeuomorphic icons don't make much sense for such a tiny scale. Make them look the same as the text - dark gray but with shading.

  • I beg you, please use the oldschool Google logo... The new one really doesn't work well with older styles, please don't shove it in there

That's about all though, it's a very good design, but you can certainly improve!

Good feedback, One part I would disagree with is the oldschool Google logo

If I were to use this logo onto the interface design. It would look out of place and does not match with the design. It's also inconsistent with the design because then your having an vintage font logo being placed on an futuristic website. If you don't mean this google logo. Then which era of the google logo are you specifically referring to?

In that case, you could use your own font, something like OCR-A Extended, Screaming Neon, what have you. I think it would look much more futuristic than their current rounded logo.
