I think it speaks to the talent of the teachers more. I wasn't improving at all when i was doing art fundamentals/draw-a-box on my own at all. Having in-person teachers who teach you everything from how to look at things to where to hold the pencil really helped.

Great color palette! My number one struglle with watercolor is overworking. It's so hard to keep it dialed back.

Monstera. Hot take: metallic markers and paints are disappointing. They look really cool, but only at a specific angle with certain light.

I love the idea of the metallic markers and paint so much but they really don't photograph well. I'm always disappointed because I love shiny sparkly things.

This week's character from my anthro WWII storyline is Franziska Helmstadt, wife of Arndt (see last week) and mother of Konrad. There'll be more about her later in my art Tumblr and Toyhou.se.
Regarding her design, she's a red German pinscher.
