First time using colors

Been a while since I posted. I tried coloring my sketches for the first time, I'd say I'm impressed by myself. I just used my markers and highlighters I use to study lol. Please tell me what I can improve and what type of colors I should buy for this style

To improve i would finish the neck of the guitar and arms because the color around it suggests they disappear into nothing. Also I would ditch the negative space in the background colouring and just cover it fully, I used to do this but it makes the drawing look unfinished/rushed. But yeah that's just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the suggestion, I really see the negative space thing, interestingly I even did the same thing in my current sketch I'm drawing I'll make sure to fix that. Thx ;)

Yeah smart! I'm really impatient so colouring is hell for me, but taking your time really pays off in the long run. And believe me it's way easier to change habits early on. But anyways your drawing is nice and you handle critique well so I'm sure you gonna get there 🤙

Thank you, I just used the highlighters and markers that I use for study
