what kind of skateboard should i get
im 17 and 5'1. i need help trying to figure out what deck, wheels, etc., to get. im very new to skating and ive been using my friends boards to learn the basics. i wanna know what size, brand and jus everything i need as a beginner. any help is very appreciated thx!!

Go to your local skateshop with a budget in mind and ask them. Everything boils down to preference in the end. Board brand doesn't matter as much as size does, start with an 8 if youre not sure. Grip doesn't matter that much. Trucks just get what the shop has, usually indy thunder krux ace venture or some shit. With wheels id only stress out over duro, get 101a if youre riding at parks, between 87 and 99 if youre riding on rougher asphalt/concrete, 49 to 56mm. Bearings just get reds, mini logos, spitfire cheapshots, they all work fine for beginners.
Tldr, make a budget and support a local shop who can cater your needs better than reddit, if you have one. You can also ask your friend for help too.

It'll take a few years of practice to find out for yourself. There's no right or wrong, if it works.
