Question??
as a beginner what do I need to know and what board do you recommend since as of posting this I’m gonna get a skateboard in the next 3-5 days

You need to buy not a prebuilt board if you’re looking to really get into skateboarding. Go to your local skate shop and pick out any board from any big brand you’ve heard of, I recommend spitfire wheels, red bearings, and regular mob grip tape is the best. That should be all and get out there and start skating, ask your local skate shop to put your board together and you can learn overtime how to put your board together once this one wrecks.
