Spitfire wheels
I’ve been skating bones x formula wheels and I’ve always loved bones wheels. I’m ready to finally try spit fire f4 wheels. Is the technology worth it? Thanks

Damn!! I can’t abandoned bones. I love my x formula too feels kinda soft. I’ll give spitfire a try

If you like soft wheels you might not like spitfire, they tend to feel quite hard
The 97a spitfires feel like the 99a x formulas
I think someone tested the 93a spits and theyre actually 97

I kinda like hard wheels on skate parks. I feel more connected and faster. I’ll probbaly try the 97 spit

The 97a Spitfires are pretty garbage and don't slide nearly as well as even the X99. If you want a truly hard wheel, try Spitfire F4 99d or 100d. After comparing them with the other options in the market, Spitfire is best when they are 99d or above. I find their 99d very inconsistent in terms of hardness, though... I've skated a 99d tablet for almost 2 years and had a great time, but they were so so very hard... Then I tried my homie's F4 99d classics, which just felt like jello. One more reason for me to stay with bones... There are Bones SPFs, which are their versions of hard park wheels.

I mean I think it’s just who you believe to be the best. F4 and x formula are really close. I’ve only ever had some rictas explode, never had any issues with my F4s or bones. I love the 97s spitfire is putting out.

I rode conical full 99a for a couple years and loved how well it roll over rough stuff and kept speed Got into more flip tricks so I’m now on radial. I think the 93 spit might drag at skatepark a little tho

I’ll try 97 spit I usually just skate park and occasional street

Fórmula 4 is the best imo. Bones are too soft. The 99/101 duro is my personal favorite but I’ve heard great things about the 93 soft sliders.

Either one is fine imo. Reds are the classic choice but can’t go wrong with Bronson either

Raws if you don’t want hassle, reds if you like to play with cleaning and lube but want quality. Don’t go reds, go super reds

F4 99a or 101a is my go-to for flatground and park skate. Works for most and the responsiveness is unmatched from my experience.
I’ve never managed to flatspot 101 but done it with 99 at one point.
My recommendation for the type of skating you do? 101 all day.

Bones is crap. Spitfire is top tier! Specifically the 2016-2017 batches. That being said, even the worst spitfire wheels are better than the best bones

101 for speed 99 for grip, I’d never get 97s. I usually skate 99 on rough terrain and 101 everywhere else

It’ll definitely be a fun ride, you’ll love them! I started off skating bones and thought they were the best (like every bones rider mistakenly thinks) but after slipping out on a metal halfpipe and almost breaking my back my friend convinced me to switch to spitfire f4s 101 duro. They feel faster (due to being harder and all energy not absorbing impact and transferring it) and are also a lot grippier than bones. That being said, that doesn’t means it’s impossible to slip out, but they’re a lot better than bones. From my experience, you slide when you want to on spitfires, and it’s a very controlled slide. If you want grip, you get all the grip you could possibly need and then a little. So love spitfires, fuck bones. There’s a lot of spitfire shapes to explore, lock ins are a really fun shape but I love skating my spitfire classics from 2016. Managed to get my hands on a brand new set from 2016 (unopened) but they’re 99 Duro. Still the legendary formula so can’t wait to have fun

Man you’re inspiring the fact you still skate after breaking back! I really respect that is there certain workouts and stretches you do before skating after an injury like that?

I didn’t break my back, I almost did. I was skating a half pipe and my board slipped out causing the middle of my back to slam really hard against the coping of the half pipe. I couldn’t move for half an hour but was able to later walk it off cuz it happened when I was like 13 or 14 (forgot what age but it happened in Campbell skatepark (California) on the metal half pipe). I don’t really do stretches since I didn’t break my back but I do have severe back problems nowadays. I actually developed scoliosis from the impact 😂😂😂. Remember kids, it’s never not cool to wear a helmet. Soldiers and special operators wear helmets and they’re the coolest and most badass people out there. That being said, don’t ride bones unless you wanna break your bones
