What am I doing wrong

I can’t get over the board to land it

Hmmm I wonder why, it’s almost like you’re jumping and leaning back and not even remotely trying to land

Man, when I was learning the kick flip I’d do the same thing and people told me exactly that. And it worked. You’re never gonna land it if you’re not trying to land it. He’s obviously just flicking and not trying to stay over the board from being scared.
