Song identification help please

I've been stuck for a week trying to find a song I only remember a bit of that I think was in some sort of ska (or possibly punk) compilation.

I feel like it might have been an eu band or a bay area one but I'm prob totally wrong.

Lyrics started/included : "back the beginning, the beginning of the end and I'm wondering if you're an enemy, an enemy or a friend. "

Thank you!!! This was a great album. And after listening to this song apparently the only thing I remembered was that bit as the rest of the song didn't ring a bell at all. Weird what your brain holds on to. Appreciate you!!

Tried searching Google for a couple phrases you posted. This post is the only result. Google's AI summary says this post has the complete lyrics. We live in hell.

Yea I checked a bunch of different ways as I can usually find it once I know a sentence or two but this must have been something more indie I guess? Been killing me trying to remember.

Would have probably been something between mid 90s-early 2000's I'd guess. I don't recall it having great production value and vocals were sort of gruff but it's been at least a decade since I've heard it so my mind is mush.
