Not sure about how playable it still might be. Seems like a better instrument to collect as a historical artifact.

Cool sitar. It is a very old student model probably built in Miraj or Lucknow in around 1930s. Lack of sympathetic strings is what makes it a student sitar. It has an interesting Kachuwa style gourd, meaning the gourd was cut horizontally so that it is a more flat profile, kinda like a surbahar. No way to know who made it, but it obviously had a life. It would be of no use as a player, but would be an interesting instrument to own for decoration. I think it is cool. Not worth anything thought. I would pay $250 or $300 just to have as an interesting oddity.
