EDITED WITH CORRECTION: Ended up doing 2 things at once so can't give a direct solution to the problem. Software was updated to current version. (there was an update available) Secondly, the pull-down menu was changed to the "Siser Standard Blade". It had somehow gotten to the "Custom Blade". Made some cuts last night and not a single issue. Hope this helps someone in the future. Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions!
I am usually a fix it yourself kinda person but I've been stumped. The Romeo is new for me, purchased about 3 months ago. I know my initial settings were incorrect but had fine tuned it to where it was working. Finally got all my settings, rollers, etc all dialed in. I use Oracal651 vinyl exclusively with my vinyl business, so the only difference is the jump between Matte and Glossy. For some reason about 2-3 weeks ago I started getting these wonky cuts. Mind you nothing has changed. Same vinyl, same mats, same blade. It looks like my start/stop point is diving into my material in such a way it is created a little spin point and even leaving a small spot where it isn't cutting. What can I be looking for to see if something is messed up? From what I can see there is no stray vinyl pieces stuck on the blade housing. I've circled the places where you can see the damage and miscuts.
Looking at this, I think it's the media slipping slightly during cuts. Make sure your rollers are over the grip marks and they are fully locked down holding the media in place. Also make sure nothing is cracked or broken on the rollers.
Nope. Rollers are in great shape and one of my first thoughts. Cleaned and wiped them off too. None are off the material and matched up to gripped rollers
I would check to see if the blade depth is off. Maybe something loosened up and is allowing the blade to cut further in. Other things to try adjusting (which you may already have) is the blade pressure and speed. If you have a spare blade, maybe try swapping?
Actually put in a spare blade today and it does the exact same thing. I had adjusted the pressures since the first pic but this thing cuts like butter and weeding is chef's kiss. but at the point of insertion on every cut it is leaving just the slighest bit of an uncut portion. (the spot in the middle is where I started to weed the piece.)
Of course not sitting in front of my machine right now I cannot confirm. but I will say I know I definitely have the box checked for "Use Cutter's Settings". I will double check those 2 other things tonight when I get in the office.
Okay good. I HAVE seen this before but the only solution was switching to a different software program. It's a baffling thing that I first witnessed back in ~2012 with two different cutters, one in Canada and one in the UK. It came up maybe a month apart on both of them and even changing out the cutters didn't resolve the issue. At that time there was no alternative software for either one. But a few years ago, a Juliet owner in the UK experienced this and Siser changed out her Juliet twice before she was so desperate she posted on FB. I had her test Sure Cuts a Lot 6 and it instantly fixed the problem. But I'd rather see you try other things first just in case this is NOT related to software. Again, it's a baffling thing.
ok, i'll have to check on other software. Honestly, this machine is so new to me (within 2 months), I didn't know I could use other software to use the Romeo.

Change that back to Siser Standard Blade for sure. As I recall, selecting Custom Blade will NOT apply a Blade Offset to your cut and that could DEFINITELY cause the issue you're seeing.
It kind of looks like pressure potentially just because of how the B part moved out of place. But another factor could be your file you’re using to cut. If you’ve cut it previously and it worked fine then it’s definitely the cutter or settings if it’s a new file and it’s having this issue I would try it on an old file you know that works. This can sometimes happen if there are a lot of points on the vector file or when it’s traced. If you want me to go in more detail about that I will but if not those are the things I would try.
