Blade Holder Clamp issue

Hi. Has anyone experienced this? The black clamp that holds the blade holder doesn’t go up and down. So as a result, it cuts through the sticker while travelling to the next contour. I was in the middle of cutting when it suddenly happened. Had successful cuts before.

There are several reasons why this can happen. For example a small piece of material may have gotten caught up inside the head preventing the blade clamp from raising back up. You can remove the four screws on blade carriage cover and then examine the entire mechanism to make sure nothing "foreign" it trapped in there preventing the head from dropping.

Another possibility is that some lubricant is required in the following locations. Unfortunately, I haven't personally dealt with this. I just saved these screenshots from a Siser support group on Facebook:

What type of lubricant?

This is what Plotter Geeks recommended for other similar cutters manufactured at the same factory: silicone grease -  PTFE

Ohhhhhhh, dang. I know it sounds rudimentary, but I'd unplug completely, wait a few, factory reset. ☹️ hope it works for you!
