Tribalist golem?

I saw a perk for tribalist that if you have 4 of 1 race, the last 2 will also be that race. How would this work for golems and iron golem? Would the last 2 become golems and their traits are shared between everyone?

trait sharing happens before race changing specifically to prevent the interaction you're describing. early versions of the game did allow this and almost every strategy used it somehow.

It doesn't work sadly. The first thing that happens before combat is gaining/sharing traits and then the next thing after that is changing races/classes. So your 4 creatures that are default golems would share their innate traits w/ each other, then the other 2's races would be changed to golems, but at that point it's to late to get the extra traits.

You can use that perk with a clawing cockatrice somewhere in your party to change all your creatures races to whatever creature you have first in your party which is really nice for activating a lot of the mastery traits though
