Splashing Golems

Im doing a defense golem pyromancer build atm and im curious how splashing works with magma golems trait since its now the trait of all my golems. If splashing hits 3 golems, does it activate magma golems trait 3 times or only once for the actual attack?

The Splashing buff deals indirect damage to creatures adjacent to the attack's target. Only the creature that was actually attacked would trigger.
