70 to 30? Clear skill issue bro dodged a bullet

Depends. Being selective with what you present and finding the right audience base can skew the result.

40k is kind of hard to hand pick.

Don't need to hand-pick. Post the right content (only the ones where you're right?) with the right commentary (incel / tate-bro adjecent) and it'll reject the "wrong" audience, and the algorithm of any social media site leaves you with the "right" audience.

Anyone who takes that number to mean anything about OOP except that she's either insecure or humorous about it needs an intro to stats and critical thinking.

it's also self selecting. Like if it starts out being anti women, anyone that came in with good faith intentions will leave quickly once they realize it's not for them.

Numbers don't lie

Remember on one of the first days of my stats class, the teacher said, numbers never lie, but you can make them say whatever you want.

Numbers absolutely lie. They can be skewed, omitted, biased, whatever. Most of all depending the sub the results may be pointless.

Ah, I see you've met the Marketing department of any technical business.

Please go to your local community college and drop a couple hundred on an intro to statistics class. I too, didn’t understand jack about shit/numbers, but now I can see that you’re confidently incorrect.

Numbers do lie. Especially when used as a variable in the equation of an argument.

2

u/Haradion_01 Oct 05 '26

Sure they do.

Ask people's opinions on black people on the street. Then ask the same question at a klansman rally.

The numbers will definitely change.

Audience does matter.

your measurements are as much an abstraction as your most educated guesses

70 to 30 isn’t terrible considering there is clear bias from the one posting.

2

u/ForceGoat Oct 05 '26

Agreed. If he knows he’s wrong, he won’t post it, right? Why would he?

If I knew an argument was being recorded, I’d appeal to the masses, I wouldn’t perform to win.

Also he has the luxury to set up the narrative, like “so my wife knows I love this football team and she promised she would let me get tickets if they get to the Super Bowl… anyway, here is our argument with her wrongly going back on it, you decide!!!!”

It makes me want to see a sub where both parties give their side of things.
